Askr (old Norse for ash tree) is a new multipurpose events and conference venue is Oslo. Following the great city fire of 1625, Olso was rebuilt from the ashes. Askr represents growth and rebirth, breathing life into the city. Norse mythology also speaks of Ask and Embla, the first two humans, who were created from tree trunks.
